Funded by: China National Arts Fund (國家藝術基金)
Organized by: The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts (HKAPA)
Role: Art Direction / Key Visual Design / Graphic Layout
Scope: Graduation Ceremony & Exhibition Key Visual System

Project Overview
Developed the official key visual for the Graduation Ceremony and Exhibition of the Creative Arts Administration & Leadership Talent Training Programme for the Greater Bay Area (GBA), funded by the China National Arts Fund.
The visual identity translates regional connectivity, cultural synergy, and leadership elevation into a contemporary, abstract visual system.

Conceptual Framework
Designed eleven luminous 3D torus rings representing the eleven cities of the Greater Bay Area.

  • Uniform structural dimensions to signify shared regional foundation

  • Varied spatial orientations and perspectives to reflect each city’s distinct cultural and artistic character

The spatial arrangement reinforces both individuality and collective growth.

Typographic Authority
Placed a bold, large-scale Chinese calligraphic character “展” (Exhibition / Unfold) as the dominant typographic statement.
The calligraphic execution establishes:

  • Immediate event authority

  • Strong visual hierarchy

  • Cultural grounding within a contemporary framework

Strategic Significance
This project demonstrates:

  • Cross-regional symbolic visual translation

  • High-level institutional and government-funded campaign execution

  • Abstract identity system development

  • Cultural narrative articulation through structured composition
