The HKAPA Creative Collaborative Arts Awards

Design Concept & Abstract Symbolism

Initiated during the pandemic, this award scheme encouraged HKAPA students and alumni to initiate off-campus, interdisciplinary collaborations bridging innovative technology, new media, and cross-border creative arts.

• Deconstructed Logo Architecture (The Rising Star): Extracted the Academy's iconic triangular motif and re-engineered it into a dynamic, six-pointed star shape—symbolizing emerging talents, new creative stars, and interdisciplinary synergy.

• Abstract Visual Metaphor (Cursor & Vortex): Intentionally avoided concrete performance imagery to ensure complete creative freedom for applicants across all disciplines. The central geometric line-art functions as a dual metaphor: an interactive digital mouse cursor representing digital innovation, and an inward vortex drawing disparate artistic talents together into a unified creative force.

• High-Contrast Editorial Aesthetics: Paired a vibrant neon-lime vertical block with high-density typography and subtle paper-textured background, commanding immediate attention across digital platforms and campus notice boards.
